Inthe year of 2018, MOE hasauthorizedCollege of Arts the right to grantdegree of Juris Master (JM), withnew enrollment as of 2019. From October 20th to 22ed,Qin Yong, executive director of JM education centerof our university, and Kang Leishan, vice director, went to universities at Jiangsu province to carry out studies on the issues of JM recruitment and training, for the purpose of procuring cultivation experiences in other universities,

On Oct. 20th-21st, Prof. Qin and Dr. Kangparticipated 2018 Annual Meeting of Finance and Taxation Law Research Association affiliated to China Law Society in Changzhou University. They exchanged their research results and discussed the JM training issues with conference attendees.

On the morning of October 22nd, they continued their survey at Law School of Southeast University and got warm reception from peer experts. Our teachers learned a lot about the universitys JM training program, discipline development, teaching and internship arrangement, from introductions respectivelypresented by prof. Ouyang Benqi, deputy dean of the Law School of Southeast University, prof. Dong Guozhen, deputy director of JM center, and Dr. Yu Tao. The two sides also made in-depth exchanges on how to projectdiscipline characteristics and enhance talent quality as a university featuring science and technology.

They went to the Law School of Nanjing University in the afternoon, and exchanged ideas about JM training through a colloquia, with attendees including assistant Dean Yang Yang,Prof.Wang Ling of JM center,Prof.and graduate supervisor Tang Yun,Dr. and assistant researcherZhangLiyi, and other postgraduate management members.ProfessorYang introduced their training method and discipline characteristics, specifically mentionedthe selection, teaching and practical courses given by off-campus practical teachers.ProfessorWangillustratedtheir teaching arrangement, while Professor Tangdemonstrated their daily management.

Their survey would help teachers in JM Education Center tackle issues involvingstudentsenrollment, trainingand job-landing, which is conducive to perfecting our training programs and enhancing future training quality.
