The Seminar to Commemorate the 120th Birthday Anniversary of Mr. Xu Zhongshu was held in Sichuan University on October 20-21, 2018. Dr. Yi Qiang, teacher of the Chinese Language and Literature Department of our school, has attended the seminar and presented his research entitled Supplements and Corrections to Annotations of Lijun and Peijun Tablets.
The conference was co-organized by Sichuan University, China Pre-Qin History Society and China Ancient Chinese Character Research Association. More than 130 scholars from home and abroad attended the conference.
Xu Zhongshu(1898-1991) was a renowned historianand expert in ancient Chinese characters. Graduated from graduate school of sinology, Tsinghua university, he had been a student to Wang Guowei, Liang Qichao. Xu had served as professor and researcher in Fudan University, Jinan University and Peking University successively.After the foundation of P.R. China, he served as a member of the academic degree committee of the state council.His contribution involved his studies on history of pre-qin period, of nationality, of localization, of Ming-qing dynasties, of Chinese literature and other fields.
