The2018 Qingdao West Coast New District Second Youth Singer Competition was held in the senile university on September 15th.Li Ruoyu, the 2016 undergraduate of Music major from College of Arts, directed by the music department tutor Zhang Nan, won the first prize of the Bel Canto.
The contest was hosted by and Literary Art Federation of Qingdao West Coast New District. Leaders from several organizations attended this activity, including Qingdao Musicians Association, Federation of Literary and Art Circles and Young Musicians Association of Qingdao West Coast New District. After fierce competition, two first prize winners, three second prize winners and four third prize winners were selected.
Li Ruoyu was admitted to the music department of our university in 2016 and studied vocal music with tutor Zhang Nan. She won the third prize of the 2018 Shandong Youth Talent Show Competition, and went to Moscow Tchaikovsky College for learning exchange during summer vocation in 2017. Besides, she actively served as a member of the girls’ chorus and youth choir in the symphony concerts hosted by our university.
