At the invitation of Professor Sun Daman, Professor Sergey De Chinin from the law department of Belgorod State University of Russia, came to our college for a two-week lecture from July 8 to 21, 2019. This lecture, whose topic was Russian energy law and policy, is mainly for the Russian language majors and law majors and teachers from the College of Liberal Arts.
Professor Sergei's course covers various topics, such as Russia's energy strategy in 2035, laws and regulations in the field of natural gas, laws and regulations in the oil field, Russian ecological law and management, Russian nature conservation law, legal liability for violating energy laws, Russian mineral law, etc. Professor Sergey gave us a comprehensive lecture on the formulation, implementation and supervision of Russian energy laws and policies, and provided the full text of relevant laws and regulations, which provided a lot of precious materials for our students to understand Russian energy laws, regulations and policies. Finally, Professor Sergey also donated books, including the Russian Civil Law and the Russian Mineral Resources Law to the Russian language department.
Besides, Professor Sergey also consulted with Professor Wang Xuedong on the joint training program of legal talents between UPC and Russian Belgorod State University and eventually reached a consensus. We will soon accelerate the planning and implementation of China-Russia joint training program for law majors.
This is the third time that professor Sergey came to teach in our college, which is the result of the 16 years’ cooperation between our school and Bergorod State University. All of this has made significant contribution to the nationalization of our teaching and the upgrading of our academic reputation.
