Recently, 15 students of China University of Petroleum made great achievements in NECCS in Shandong Competition Area. Four students including Lu Chenxin, Yu Simin, Shao Zihua and Zhu Gerui gained grand prize of Class C. Nine students gained first prize of Class B. Gao Fan gained grand prize of Class B. Ye Xin gained first prize of Class A for postgraduate students. The above students who gained grand prize would represent Shandong Province to participate in the final hosted by NECCS organizing committee.
National English Competition for College Students (NECCS), the only competition in China for college students’ comprehensive ability, was approved by Higher Education Division of Ministry of Education and hosted by TEFL China and Seminar of college foreign language teaching in higher education. With widespread influence, it is included in higher level English competition in UPC.
The achievements of the above students represent the English teaching level of College of Arts, which will play positive role further under the rule of “promoting education, learning and management by competition”.
