In order to improve the quality of foreign language teaching and promote the construction of foreign language teaching staff in colleges and universities, recently teachers from College of Arts were organized to participate in the 10th Foreign Teacher’s Club Cup national foreign language teaching competition in Shandong division and achieved excellent results.
This competition is about college English teaching, including three groups: comprehensive class, listening and speaking class and micro class. The former two groups are divided into preliminary, semi-final and final rounds, while the latter group is divided into preliminary and final rounds.
The college of arts has made meticulous preparation for this competition. After preliminary selection of the college, three teachers, Ma Hongyan, Wei Chao and Sun Jiping, were selected to participate in the three groups respectively. The college invited experts to conduct pre-competition training for the three teachers. On May 6th, after the preliminary rounds, three teachers successfully entered into the semi-finals.
On May 18th and 19th, the 10th Foreign Teacher’s Club Cup national college foreign language teaching competition held in Shandong University of Science and Technology. Under the leadership of Han Shuqin, Vice Dean of our college, Wei Chao won the second prize of audio-visual group; Ma hongyan won the third prize of comprehensive group; Sun Jiping won the third prize of the micro class after several rounds of competition. Our school was also one of the few provincial universities that won prizes in all three groups.
College of Arts always encourages young and middle-aged teachers to participate in various teaching competitions, takes various measures to promote the reform of education and teaching to a higher level, and improves the teaching skills and research ability of teachers so as to cultivate more high-quality compound talents with international vision and thinking ability.
